Quilted Memories

In 2019, I was honored to receive a grant from Densho’s Artists Initiative, allowing me to create a digital quilt that promotes education about Japanese American history and addresses historical and intergenerational trauma. Quilts, passed down through generations, symbolize protection, healing, and warmth. My project seeks to piece together the stories of Japanese American women while reconciling my own family history and identity.
